In the middle of december…. ambient music as it should be…. Take a break for at least an hour, withdraw from the crowd, sit back and relax. Stop time if you can? The only thing you need is the Air you breathe, this Non-stopยฎ mix and an open mind. The mix starts off with wide atmospheres, drives up the tempo and ingredients, gets more intense, deeper, and offers very much positive energy throughout the event.

Breathe in…. feel the energy…
Do something amazing today!

There’s many ways to download streaming media Chris. Search for ‘download Mixcloud file’… PS: look in the desciption of this post

  • Great choice of tracks! I enjoyed it a lot ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thanks for playing mine too!

  • Hi TC,
I used to enjoy playing your music through iTunes and then through my speakers via Airplay. I can’t do that any more if you only make your stuff available via the internet and a browser. Is this going to be a permanent feature? Or might you publish as a podcast etc? I hope so or I’m going to miss out by playing just on the computer ๐Ÿ™

Chris, the format has changed indeed. After 10 years doing a podcast, the decision has been made to go streaming. Same as YouTube, same as Vimeo, same as Mixcloud: media available online as a ‘stream’. But if you search a bit on the internet you’ll find many ways to download streaming media files if you really want to. In answer to your question: you can stil play the music through iTunes / take it with you on the road. (look for the link in the description please) And part 2 of your question: no, there will not be released a podcast version. Many reasons. One of them: legal rights/permissions of the copyright owners. Don’t shoot me… I’m just a music player ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Hi TC,

Love your work, but really miss your voice ! a bit of philosophy and comments and even sounds of your creaky chair and shouting at dogs through the window is what makes your music casting so great !

Even if you are restricted to streaming : ( please keep the great format you had in the Fresh Air series it was great !!

Enjoy the Festive season…. Maybe even a NYE show ??

  • Thank you TC! Awesome mix. Happy New Year !!!

  • Hi TC, this mix was brilliant but I miss hearing your voice……

  • Hi TC… I’ve been listening to SM since it’s inception. What an awesome ride it was.

Along the way I have been treated to some amazing talent. My musical horizons have been pushed to incredible places…all because of your passion for all things music.

You weren’t the only man in the ambient music broadcasting business. But you brought an earthiness to this musical landscape that somehow invited people in and made it accessible. I can remember TC doing cooking, making coffee, limping through a program because the main mixer had snuffed it. I can recall interviews, words from your mum…and even a new years eve greeting from me made it into one of your NYE shows.

The point is, your on-air involvement with SM was as essential to its success as the music you played.

Because you spoke to quirky people about their music, because you talked to everyday people about their thoughts on everyday topics and because you did and said everyday things on air, SM had a huge international following.

The music was number one, for sure, but your personal participation is what lifted SM to the top of the tree So I’m with Martin on this one…you need to be heard!

Thanks for a decade of genuine quality and a fresh stream of talent with SM..I wish you even greater success with this one.

    Cheers – Kevin

  • Like Kevin, I miss the feeling of being invited in to your flat in Rotterdam, and remember cooking and the mixer going down. Also, on one occasion, listening to a full on thunderstorm that was going on outside the open window. I miss that feeling; you were almost a personal friend, and you introduced me to some amazing music! The music is just as good on Ambient Zone, of course, still the best place for the best ambient grooves to help me get to sleep. Thank you, TC, you podcast god, and all the best for the future.
