Mixcloud changes info: https://campus.mixcloud.com/changes-to-mixcloud

To be clear: by stopping our uploads as per December 1st we preserve our currently available archives on Mixcloud. If we’d upload new shows after December 1st it would mean we have to delete content  – till a maximum of 10 shows is online. We’re not going to do so! Sessions 010 // Biosphere

November 2022 … From Norway we welcome Geir Jenssen! A.K.A. Biosphere. Music as environment: unique ambient artist with a pristine and arctic sound since his first 1991 release ‘Microgravity’. In today’s show we play music from the Cirque 2016 re-issue and the Shortwave Memories 2022 vinyl releases. Listening to these records is like an unseen movie: the exploration of the human psyche. Have fun!

Le Grand Dome / Iberia Eteria / Minuarta – CIRQUE 2016
Interval Signal / Infinium – SHORTWAVE MEMORIES 2022

Jenssen was born on 30 May 1962 in Tromsø, a city within the Arctic Circle in the northernmost portion of Norway. He was inspired by the music of artists such as New Order, Depeche Mode, Wire, and Brian Eno, which he described as “like discovering a new universe—a universe which I wanted to be a part of”. In 1983, he bought his first synthesizer and composed his first piece of music, taking influence from his archaeological studies, later stating “Studying the Ice Age and Stone Age has definitely influenced my music.”

S14.10 Starseeds

Beauty and moments of happiness come from within … as long as we’re willing to invest in beauty instead of chaos. If we look around these days you might think that all beauty is gone, fortunately it’s not. Look closer, take a moment and breathe. The sun, love, nature, music. The magic that happens when you least expect it!

In ‘Starseeds’ the artists we play spread their light upon us … hear the harmony, feel the energy, pass it on to others, smile, create a pleasant atmosphere. These are the vibes we now need most. Welcome to Spacemusic!

Featuring: Grasz & Schultz, Bruno Sanfilippo, Sverre Knut Johansen, David Helpling, The Expanding Universe, Ian Boddy, Lauge, Terminus Void, Nimanty, Willebrant, Blue is Nine.

“ There are numerous Starseeds on this planet and they are here to illumine all of the dark corners of this earth.”   ― Michael Bassey Johnson
