Sessions 006 // PERU

Info, Sessions - 2022-07-10 - 0 Comments

July 2022 … When I was 12 I bought a record called ‘Constellations’. Turns out it was gonna be one of my most played records! Filed under ‘synthesizer’ back in the days, this music has become a soundtrack to my life and it still has that magic. Big thanks to Peter Kommers, Ruud van Es and Rob Papen for releasing music as PERU. Today we play it on vinyl … the original sound!

Music in this edition comes from:

Constellations – PERU (1981) LP – buy on Discogs
Continents – PERU (1983) LP – buy on Discogs

CD releases:
Constellations
Continents

Our Hearts ?

Info - 2022-05-20 - 2 Comments

Evángelos Odysséas Papathanassíou

1943 – 2022

Speechless My beloved Maestro. Im gonna miss you so much!
Your music will never leave us, and fill our hearts with stories of Life, Love, Sound, Wisdom.

Rest In Peace now my friend Evángelos

May 20th 2022 — The day after —

” Yesterday’s news made me speechless and sad but today, his music really brings the tears as the fact is sinking in …

I asked the dentist today to play his music while I got a lengthy treatment. Tears rolling down my cheek and the dentist asked if it was painful what he was doing. I said ” no, but the music is so emotional “

My friend Vangelis has created incredible soundtracks and filled my heart with so much energy. Now he’s gone. And I don’t know where to start. So I play his albums. One by one. Like how it all started for me 40 years ago.

Take it easy friends in the Ambient Zone. This is gonna take time to accept. “
