(UPDATED) Hello there!

Nice to see you on our site. Thanks for visiting. And you’re probably listening to our shows as well? Maybe you are a long time Spacemusic listener, maybe you have been enjoying the podcasts for more than 10 years, 15 years? Time flies! We’ve been online with ‘Spacemusic’ since 2005. This is the central nerve system called ‘Ambient Zone’. This is where all the creations come from …and hopefully more to arrive.

The beautiful thing is that I do this fulltime. It’s also a risk. I have chosen to give up my ‘normal’ work and create podcasts every month for the world to hear. Promoting musicians, creating mixes, record  and master high quality content and launch unique flowing shows.

It’s fully listener supported : by choosing a listening plan here on Ambient Zone or a Patron Tier on our Patreon page.

Before you choose a platform  – do know that Patreon is not perfect. Since our start in 2017 we’ve encountered lots of ‘black box’ behaviour by Patreon and many technical issues, mostly admin oriented that I had to deal with myself. Their support: very bad. Till a degree of an irritating arrogance on a humiliating level. Malfunctioning finance tools,  backoffice issues and out-of-the-blue decisions , often rolled-back after Creator’s feedback and admitting it to be faulty  …. we’ve seen it all!

And then there’s Ambient Zone : run by yours truly. Everything, including the site, payment system, RSS feeds, file distribution, finance, maintenance, everything. In other words, Ambient Zone is an environment that I’ve designed and programmed myself, with podcasts and memberships as priority number one. Patreon was designed by … Patreon. Still not sure what their priority is. They offer a system where you can pledge and support your favourite Creator. The Creator is using the platform to distribute content and is – at all times – relying on how the platform was designed and how it works, or not. But also how fast  the support team responds when something unwanted happens.

Here’s a little advise / strong suggestion: if you’re looking for a way to support Ambient Zone, support the podcast, download the shows in high quality, have access to RSS feeds that work, that are fast, navigate through a site where you can login and visit the Spacemusic archives, have an online player and personal assistance when you need it, then Ambient Zone is definitely your place of interest.

If you’d like to pledge some amount per show, set a limit to your pledge, or want to skip pledges and still be able to download all content that I post  (which is a design flaw if you ask me), then you go to Patreon. Am I being negative? No, but I just want to be honest with you: the best way to support Ambient Zone … is by supporting me here at Ambient Zone 🙂
